MENTORING

Entrepreneurial or scientific mentoring is a personal, voluntary and confidential support provided by an experienced entrepreneur, or researcher, to another entrepreneur.

Based on reciprocity, the mentoring relationship develops over the long term. It helps to facilitate personal and professional transitions as well as to contribute to self-realisation. Incubateur Descartes promotes this personal and professional development mode by organising the mentoring relationship and by framing ethical rules defined according to the objectives sought.

      IGEU Fund EIFFEL – Incubateur Descartes Fund

      Are you looking at financing the seed phase of your startup?
      Do you have a project with an innovative dimension and related to greentech / cities of tomorrow?

      Are you a university professor, researcher, an alumni of Gustave Eiffel University, or of a member of Paris-Est Sup, a student-entrepreneur, or in the innovation ecosystem?

      We have created Eiffel – Incubateur Descartes fund to provide loans to start-up founders!

      The fund is part of Initiative Grandes Écoles & Universités (IGEU) that focuses in specific sections. The IGEU association has already funded almost 300 projects for 11 m€ and manages 8 sections:

      • Arts et Métiers
      • Paris-Dauphine
      • International et Sud, IRD
      • ISEP (ESSCA)
      • EIFFEL – Incubateur Descartes
      • ESTIA
      • Sorbonne Paris-Nord.

      Incubateur Descartes supports you to apply to this financing and will then follow up the project  implementation. For more information, please contact us via email. 

      The 2022 IGEU Committees will take place on: 24 February, 19 May, 7 July, 20 October & 1 December.

      Conditions to obtain the loan

      • Loan at a 0% interest rate and without personal guarantee
      • Cumulative with other loan schemes (Bpifrance, Réseau Entreprendre, Wilco, etc.)
      • Amount between €10,000 and €60,000 per project
      • Reimbursement in 5 years, 1 year repayment being deferred
      • Reserved for companies created less than 3 years ago at the time of the Approval Committee
      • Paid after a favourable decision by the Approval Committee and the provision of various  administrative and insurance documents.

      Conditions d’octroi du prêt d’honneur

      • Prêt à taux 0 et sans garantie personnelle
      • Cumulable avec d’autres dispositifs (Bpifrance, Réseau Entreprendre, Wilco, etc.)
      • Montant compris entre 10 k€ et 60 k€ par projet
      • Remboursable en 5 ans avec un différé de remboursement d’1 an
      • Réservé aux entreprises créées depuis moins de 3 ans au moment du Comité d’agrément
      • Versé après décision favorable du Comité d’engagement et la production de documents administratifs et d’assurance.

      FRENCH TECH SEED Label (FTS)

      Incubateur Descartes is part of the FTS Digital and Sustainable City consortium, with Cap Digital, Erganeo, Gustave Eiffel University, Efficacity and Paris&Co, approved by the French Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation.

      The FTS label has been designed to support innovative technology-intensive companies. The backing fund is 400 m€ from PIA 3 (Investing for the Future programme), managed by Bpifrance on behalf of the State. This fund is designed to support technology start-ups in their growth phase, in particular DeepTech ones less than 3 years old, together with private investors.

      The scheme is based on a mechanism of labelled business intermediaries and that also on leverages private investment; €1 private investment enabling co-financing of up to €2, in the form of convertible bonds, for a maximum amount of €250,000 over 5 years at a 7% interest rate per year.

      Eligibility criteria

      • Company created less than 3 years ago and with at least 2 FTE
      • Featuring a breakthrough innovation technology in the field of digital and sustainable cities (as certified by UGE or SATT Erganeo)
      • Being a member or accompanied by one of the consortium partners
      • Having an investor letter of intent for an amount > €100,000 (less than 3 months old) or having already raised funds (less than 2 months ago)
      • OR having a confirmed letter of intent for aperceptive and interested investor for an amount > €50,000 (less than 3 months old) or having already raised funds (less than 2 months ago) AND having a significant POC with a large corporate (paid, strategic, with a number of users…).

      Label FRENCH TECH SEED (FTS)

      L’Incubateur Descartes fait partie du consortium FTS Ville numérique et Durable, avec Cap Digital, Erganeo, Université Gustave Eiffel, Efficacity et Paris&Co, labellisé par le Ministère de l’Enseignement supérieur, de la Recherche et de l’Innovation.

      Le label FTS a été pensé pour accompagner les entreprises innovantes à forte intensité technologique. Le fonds qui y est adossé est doté de 400 millions d’euros issus du PIA 3 (Programme d’investissement d’Avenir) et géré par Bpifrance pour le compte de l’État. Ce fonds a vocation à soutenir les start-ups technologiques en phase de post-maturation, notamment des start-ups DeepTech de moins de 3 ans, aux côtés d’investisseurs privés.

      Le dispositif repose sur un mécanisme d’apporteurs d’affaires labellisés et un effet de levier sur l’investissement privé ; 1 € d’investissement privé permettant de solliciter un co-financement allant jusqu’à 2 €, sous forme d’obligations convertibles, d’un montant maximum de 250 k€ sur une durée de 5 ans au taux de 7 % par an.

      Critères d’éligibilité

      • Entreprise créée depuis moins de 3 ans et comptant au moins 2 ETP
      • Proposer une technologie d’innovation de rupture dans la thématique de la ville numérique & durable (suivant attestation par UGE ou la SATT Erganeo)
      • Être membre adhérent ou accompagné par un des partenaires du consortium
      • Disposer d’une lettre d’intention d’investissement d’un investisseur « avisé » d’un montant > 100 K€ (inférieure à 3 mois) ou avoir déjà réalisé une levée de fonds (il y a moins de 2 mois)
      • OU disposer d’une lettre d’intention d’investissement d’un investisseur avisé d’un montant > 50 K€ (inférieure à 3 mois) ou avoir déjà réalisé une levée de fonds (il y a moins de 2 mois) ET disposer d’un POC significatif auprès d’un grand groupe (rémunéré, stratégique, avec nombre d’utilisateurs…).
